White House economic adviser Gene Sperling deserves to a Gold Medal in political spin. He asserts that raising the federal minimum wage would will help those who want to “work less. ” Sure, if you want to work less, a higher wage would might help you out, but when the price of everything goes up to match the wage increase, how will working less help then? It won’t.
