The hot new ‘thing’ in DC is calling for raising of the minimum wage because it will save US all from poverty and reboot the economy. What a bunch of crap. The myth that a low minimum wage is keeping workers poor and raising said wage would give people freedom to spend money, thus growing the economy is a lie, especially since only 1% of all workers make minimum wage. The truth, the overwhelming majority of workers who work AT minimum wage are TEENAGERS! So when the President ‘urges’ Congress to do the right thing at raise minimum wage, all he is doing is pandering to those who buy vote with their hearts instead of their minds.
