  • Spin Doctors v. Real Doctors

    February 26, 2014 • Top Story • 1313

The First Lady has declared victory over the war against obesity.  She’s planted her flag, hung a banner and moving on to another cause.  The problem, most doctors thinks she’s wrong.  The ‘victory’ she is claiming is completely unsubstantiated by any stat, trend, data point, etc.  So either she’s lying or the spin doctors in DC have fed her koolaid, you decided.

  • The Politics Of Reducing Military Budgets

    February 25, 2014 • Top Story • 1324

The big buzz out of DC today is military reduction of force and the media is drinking it up.  Fools.  This is a carefully engineered political move that both sides of the aisle will use to their advantage.  The Dems will tout that they are cutting the budget, the GOP will call it an attack on veterans, but both sides will gloss over the fact that a HUGE chunk of their collective political war chests come from…military friendly contracts.

  • The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

    February 24, 2014 • Top Story • 1319

The Govt is caving to pressure from the people.  The Fed is scraping controversial FCC plans to further control over the media and a DHS network aimed at tracking you license plates movements across the country.  They say it’s because of public push back but in reality, they got caught.  If these programs could have been implemented w/o public knowledge, they would be ‘a go.’ While Ukraine and Venezuela are dealing with outright revolutions, it’s  nice to know that the nation that made revolutions cool has still got it.

  • When Were We Austere?

    February 21, 2014 • Top Story • 1285

The President is claiming a victory over austerity in the US, but what austerity is he talking about?  Workers on disability in this country may be marginally down, but the numbers receiving welfare support are at an all time high.   Unless the Prez is talking about National Parks being closed and veterans being turned away from memorials, austerity isn’t even a concept in this country.

  • Big Brother In The Newsroom

    February 20, 2014 • Top Story • 1305

The Government is working on a plan to install media monitors in newsrooms around the country.  Their aim?  To determinate if there really is a bias among media outlets, as if there was any question. This is a frightening beginning to a diabolic plan.  First it was the IRS snooping into you, then the NSA taping our phones, now Fed wants to know what the media is saying.  This is a plan that Stalin would be proud of.

  • DC Spinning Like A Top

    February 19, 2014 • Top Story • 1342

White House economic adviser Gene Sperling deserves to a Gold Medal in political spin.  He asserts that raising the federal minimum wage would will help those who want to “work less. ”  Sure, if you want to work less, a higher wage would might help you out, but when the price of everything goes up to match the wage increase, how will working less help then? It won’t.

  • Do Nothing Congress Keeps Busy Regulating Away Freedom

    February 18, 2014 • Top Story • 1186

If there is anything this Congress can do – it’s create more read tape.  And they are firing on on cylinders at the moment, averaging one new regulation every 3 hours.  But we wonder why we our economy is lagging?  This is exactly why. Instead of spurring growth through fiscally responsible policies, we invest money in things like the Ivanpah solar power plant in California that is already obsolete, our politicians are too busy passing laws & taxes that make it harder for US to get ahead and easier for them to line the pockets of their friends.

  • The Obamacare Graphic That Proves It Is A Failure

    February 17, 2014 • Top Story • 1409

How much would it cost to signup one person on Obamacare, $500,… $1,000, …$5,000?  Try five times that.  Obama’s legacy has officially crashed and burned, especially in his home state of Hawaii.  But the on the upside, global warming will destroy us before we have to explain to our kids why healthcare in this country was forced to go underground on the black market.

  • What the Hell is a ‘Climate Resilience Fund’?

    February 14, 2014 • Top Story • 1643

The President is using this season’s colder/snowier/nastier than average weather to push his ‘Climate Resilience Fund.’  But what exactly is said fund?  If the President’s track record is any barometer, it’s a slush fund for ‘green energy’ firms like the failed Solyndra ($535 million in tax dollars) & Fisker Automotive ($529 million).

  • You Have to Be Kidding Me…

    February 13, 2014 • Top Story • 1105

The dopes at HHS are working their ‘magic’ again!  This weekend they are taking HealthCare.gov offline to fix some bugs (they’ll probably need more than a weekend) and the first day of that outage happens to coincidence with “National Youth Enrollment Day”.  Talk about failing at every turn.
