Ben Franklin missed the mark when he famoulsy said: ‘Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.’ You see, he forgot to add ‘cronyism’ to the list. The current administration is rife with pay-to-play cronyism, starting with the former Energy Secretary and his sweet gig with the very company he made sure got big bucks from the Government. With unemployment at near record levels, it’s nice to know those with friends in high places are immune.
