Before anyone starts patting themselves on the back over the latest budget deal, take a look at the real numbers.  This ‘deal’ claims to save $85 billion via cuts, over the next 10 years.  Contrast that to the $63b in additional spending the first year alone, and you can see why any worthwhile economist is calling shenanigans on the deal. One thing is for sure, Congress couldn’t be trusted to budget lemonade stand.
