  • FCC Power Grab

    May 16, 2014 • Top Story • 1667

The fine folks at the FCC have seized on the opportunity created by the hype over ‘net neutrality.’  Yesterday the FCC moved to incorporate a whole mess of new regulations concerning the internet and it’s bad for business.  Not only does the FCC regulators in DC get to oversee what providers are charging, but every state has the same power too.  This didn’t really help anyone when they did the same thing to phone industry, why would it work better with the world wide web?

  • No Where To Go But Right (How Mass Transit Has Driven Into Liberal Wall)

    May 15, 2014 • Top Story • 1220

Innovation is a good thing, right?  New ideas, fresh blood, thinking outside the box, all things that move the world forward. Then why do we shun new concepts of transportation? For decades, light rail has been the been a ruse used by liberal types to appease the masses.  Fix a bus stop here, install an elevator there, and the votes roll in, but why are most of our commuter rails owned & operated by the government? They suck up huge chunks of tax dollars and show zero ROI, most losing money, tanking credit ratings along the way. Maybe it’s time to let capitalism have a crack at moving people from ‘A’ to ‘B’.

  • Obamacare Burns Through Cash Faster Than V. Stiviano….

    May 14, 2014 • Top Story • 1476

The numbers are in and it they paint a sad picture of Obamacare.  Less than a year into the roll out of nationwide healthcare exchanges and the total number of tax dollars spent on websites alone is $5 billion.  When you factor in the number of exchanges that have already collapsed under mismanagement and disinterest, plus the number of ‘Navigators’ being paid a hefty wage, the ROI of this endeavor is miserable.  But hey, at least Joe Biden is gung-ho for the cross country pipeline that could spur millions of dollars in economic growth, too bad it’s in Ukraine.

  • First Class On Your Dime, Must Be Nice

    May 13, 2014 • Top Story • 1434

Pending legislation in Congress would make it illegal for politicians to spend tax dollars on first class plane tickets.  The fact that this was a best practice to begin with is appalling.  Where do politicians get off thinking they’re better than US? Why do we get the privilege of subsiding their elite status? Any politician using our tax dollars to exclude themselves from the masses is not a true champion of democracy, but an asshole that should get slapped in the teeth.

    May 12, 2014 • Top Story • 1445

Former secretary of the Treasury Department, Timothy Geithner is polishing up his memoir and it has come to light that the White House asked him to lie.  That may come as no surprise, which is a very sad thing in its own right, but Geithner asserts in his book  that he was instructed Dan Pfeiffer to not say that Social Security does not contribute to the national deficit.  Where was he supposed to say this?  On the Sunday morning talk shows, just like a future White House pal, Susan Rice.

  • Why Food Stamps Should Be Used To Guns, And Everything Else

    May 9, 2014 • Top Story • 1407

A New Hampshire politicians is making a strong case for food stamp use, but it’s not what it seems.  New Hampshire Representative Timothy Horrigan (D) took to the state’s house floor to argue that EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) monies should not have any restrictions on them, including restrictions against use for buying ammo & guns.  Horrigan claims it’s a violation of the second amendment, he also thinks you should be able to buy porn (lucky you EPA) and gamble with EBT dollars.  But Horrigan is being coy, he’s never seen a gun regulation he didn’t like and is pushing this line of thought to mock those that support an open interpretation of the 2nd Amendment.  Another pol wasting our time, just to stroke their own ego.

  • EPA Is Now The Ministry Of Porn

    May 8, 2014 • Top Story • 1461

Who will protect US from the EPA?  Not the EPA itself, that’s for sure.  During a recent hearing about the mismanagement of the power hungry EPA, it came to light that there has been an ongoing investigation into one EPA agent who was caught with thousands of porn files their government issued computer.   Plus, this worker was also averaging 2-6hrs a day watching porn and when an administrator came to question them about their practices, they were watching porn.  But surely the EPA fired this person on the spot, HA!  This creep has been collecting salary while on leave. If the EPA wants to clean up the world, it should start with the dirt in its own backyard.
