    October 1, 2013 • Top Story • 1718

Happy 123rd birthday to Yosemite National Park, if you were planning on attending the big birthday bash, it’s time for ‘Plan B.’  Speaking of  ‘Plan B,’ the Federal Housing Authority is invoking its golden parachute, and bailing its self out with your tax dollars. You can take it up with you Congressman, but you may have to wait for their furlough to end.

    September 30, 2013 • Top Story • 1632

The President has a new red line he’s pushing, but unlike his last attempt at establishing his authority, he will not waver.  Speaking of wavering, Bill Clinton has chimed in on Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) filibuster and he thinks someone is lying, he would know.  Behold the rise of the ‘TomTao.’

  • EPA: Share the Prosperity, Or We’ll Share it For You

    September 27, 2013 • Top Story • 1470

Prosperity isn’t yours – everyone is entitled to it, that’s what the EPA would have you believe.  The fine folks at the EPA have, yet again, decided to pick and choose winners/losers, this time focusing on losers in the minority.  Remember Solyndra?

  • The New Definition of Good, Thank You Dick

    September 26, 2013 • Top Story • 1719

Thank you Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL)(VIDEO) for redefining the meaning of ‘good.’ Historically, we have understood the word ‘good’ to be analogous to anything other than being poked in the eye with a sharp stick.  Sen. Durbin has refined ‘good’ as being so poor, one must rely on the government to fund their healthcare.  By Durbin’s logic, spending a million of your tax dollars to increase gender equality in Russia is not good, but great!

  • Obamacare, the War on Men, and Tijuana Park Benches

    September 25, 2013 • Top Story • 1690

As Sen. Ted Cruz analogizes Obamacare to Dr. Seuss, the bright folks at the Manhattan Institute have begun to breakdown the state-by-state premium increases caused by Obamacare and compiled it in to a hand-dandy interactive map.  Their data shows that Obamacare is akin to a war on men, wherein, men will see their rates go up by almost 99%, 40 points higher than their female counterparts.  But hey, the EPA is building park benches made from garbage for Tijuana, lucky them.

  • Americans are Exceptional, But Don’t Tell the Government

    September 24, 2013 • Top Story • 1384

Lately, many a pundit and world leader have questioned American ‘exceptionalism’, and in doing so they have mistakenly lumped the American people in with their less than exceptional government.  Luckily, a record number of citizens have come to the realization that their government is giving them a bad name.  After all, the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.

Sección de Metichismo (Department of Meddling)

Under the infinite wisdom of the EPA, new regulations rolled out on Friday aimed at making the coal industry more competitive in a “carbon-constrained world.”  To recap, more restriction = more competitive ::FACEPALM::  Combine the EPA’s need to meddle in business with the Fed’s campaign to reaffirm their existence and the UN General Assembly in NYC, this week will set the tone for what is destine to be a pivotal close to a tumultuous year.  At least your fingerprints are secure on your shiny, new gold iPhone.

  • United Serfdom of America: DC Gets Rich, The Rest Not So Much

    September 20, 2013 • Top Story • 1899

U.S. of A: the United Serfdom of America.  The Census Bureau’s American Community Survey highlights a poignant breakdown of class strata in this country: The typical D.C. household income rose 23.3% between 2000 and 2012; while the average across the U.S. dropped 6.6%.  The American dream has morphed into a voter(serf)/politician(master) reality that threatens to ruin US all.  On the bright side, the new iPhone looks great and you never bought a baseball team for $100 million, only to never see them play in person.
