The Cold Reality of 2014: More Taxes, More Fees, Less Representation

As temps hit numbers normally seen on Mars, a chilly reminder is at hand about the year ahead: You will pay more. Your taxes are going up, the fees you pay are going up, and your healthcare costs are going up too. Up to this point, the ‘free market’ approach to healthcare know as Obamacare has irked many Americans – but few have felt the full burden, put come tax day – everyone will feel the left out in the cold. Everyone, regardless of your involvement in Obamacare exchanges, will see what it means to pay for someone else via new taxes and fees associated with implementing the disaster that has been Obamacare.

An overwhelming majority of world population feels good ‘ole USA is the biggest threat to international peace. On that list, the US ranks behind Iran, Pakistan, and China. USA! USA! USA!

The HR & PR departments at MSNBC have had a busy 2013 putting out anchor induced fires and New Year’s Eve is no different. Wonderhost, Melissa Harris-Perry is under fire for poking fun at Mitt Romney’s Christmas card. Melissa used her valuable time on-air at MSNBC pointing out the fact that Romney’s adoptive grandchild, seen sitting on his knee in the card, is black by asking ‘how would you caption this card?’ Most normal people would say it’s the Christmas card of a very big family, not the fine folks at MSNBC, they used it to poke fun at Romney & co. On the bright side, there are not many people are watching MSNBC these days.

Bright minds at the UN have a solution to countering cow flatulence induced climate change, tax meat more. It’s a brilliant move really, taxing beef into extinction, but why stop there? Anything, any group, anywhere, ever ‘feels’ is ‘bad’ should be taxed. Like cheese, upsets millions of stomachs annually ; nuts – they kill more people than cow farts do; sunlight (tanning beds) – people die everyday from skin cancer; and it goes on and on…

In one of the lamest photo ops ever, President Obama ‘signed up’ for the bronze plan under Obamacare. While that’s nice that he can show he”s ‘just like US,’ there are two major flaws with this pr stunt. First off, the President does not need Obamacare, nor should he be signing up for it. He has insurance and it’s world’s better than anything the average America will ever see. Secondly, if the President really wanted to ‘support’ Obamacare, he should have signed up for and paid for a platinum plan, thus supporting the program. But that would make too much sense…

While the rest of US are thinking about how we’ll pay for everything we bought for our loved ones this year, the President will be in sunny Hawaii -soaking up the rays. And why not? He’s done a lot for US this year, Obamacare, sequester, Govt shutdown, etc. When you compare the Prez’s time off to that of the average American, who has been at their job for 20yrs+ (must be nice), the Prez out vacations them every time. So next time President Obama waxes about the average American and compares his kids to yours, remember, it’s good to be the King.

When Cuba Is More American…

In recent years, the socialist experiment in Cuba has begun to take capitalist turn and it’s very American. Cuba has just announced that they will now allow people other than the Government to sell autos to the public. In doing so they have taken steps to reduce the role government in individual’s lives. By comparison, between the NSA, the EPA, and the IRS, the US Government has never been more involved in the daily dealing of Joe American. When Cuba looks more American, it’s time to think differently.
