The President is claiming a victory over austerity in the US, but what austerity is he talking about?  Workers on disability in this country may be marginally down, but the numbers receiving welfare support are at an all time high.   Unless the Prez is talking about National Parks being closed and veterans being turned away from memorials, austerity isn’t even a concept in this country.
